Hi all : ) Thursday was another August day. Not much in the nets and what was there wasn’t particularly exciting. The more interesting birds were sightings; both a Merlin and a Peregrine (Sara has good eyes) in the morning, the season’s first hummingbird up by Commons around supper time, and the American Black Duck that flew by Broad Cove about 7:00 P.M.

Sara gave great demonstrations to 2 groups of incoming UNH Honors students, Robin is doing some banding, and David is missing the opportunities for naps. And tomorrow is another day. We’ll see how much unexpected Appledore Island can produce : ) .
Robin and David are really happy that you are interested!!!
