Hi again! Wednesday was a strange day. We opened the core 5 nets slightly late because of a light drizzle. We closed just after 9:00 to very scattered rain drops but quite threatening radar. The rest of the morning, I’d go out to reopen and would see little raindrops falling into the swimming pool that I couldn’t really feel.

Angelo went back to America about 10:00 so I was solo until Robin arrived about dinner time. Around 2:30, I opened nets again and kept them open for the rest of the day. The only field birding that got done was a hurried trip to Broad Cove after supper and it was high tide so the only birds were gulls and Eider. Photos show off the most distinctive features of the day. The rainbow appeared without obvious rain!!

So, Robin and David send you the cheer that a rainbow brings to all who see it : ) !
